Oh yeah! I should have blogged about this way sooner. I finally get to run in Running for Covers! The last few years, I’ve had conflicts between this and the Traverse City Triathlon, but this year they are a week apart. Woohoo! If you haven’t heard of Running for Covers, here’s the story.

In its inaugural, year over 50 people participated to collect approximately 200 blankets. Last year, more than 200 people gathered to donate over 375 blankets, 1200+ other needed items, and a $1,000 cash donation to the NICU at Mercy Health Saint Mary’s Hospital.
Family Races in Grand Rapids
I really need to make a post of good family races in Grand Rapids. We have had so much fun taking Wally to runs, running with him in the jogging stroller, and even attempting to get him to run some of the extra-short kids runs. I know that this is going to be a great family run, and it will be so fun to have the whole family involved.
If you are free in the morning on 8/14, come run or walk with us!
