Fall Races I Want to Do: Hot Cider Hustle

Estimated read time 2 min read

Heck yes! I was just talking to a friend about how I want to find more races that are not quite a half marathon. I don’t usually exist at permanent half marathon shape like I once was (I’m looking at you 2013 pre-baby body). But I like to join races whenever I hear about them and sometimes that means 2 weeks in advance. I can run a 10k any time, so let’s find some!

Well, I found something that sounds toasty and doable that I really want to try. I thought I’d post about it: the Hot Cider Hustle in Lansing, MI on October 15, 2016.

These are my top 5 things in the universe:

  1. Fall
  2. Pumpkin flavors
  3. Hot cider
  4. Hoodies
  5. Running

Okay, arguably you could add in things like my husband and adorable baby, sleep, and petting fuzzy animals, but still. I am a HUGE fan of fall. Doing a race mid-October for a hoodie and a hot beverage sounds perfect!

So if a mug and a hoodie and a nice autumnal run sound good to you, check out the Hot Cider Hustle.

Are there any other must-run fall races? I mean, there’s the Sleeping Bear Marathon/Half/5k, but you know I’m already signed up (plus, the race filled up—woo! it’s getting popular). Hit me up if there are other tasty races I should do this fall.
